India stands as the ultimate storytelling hub of the world, where every tale unfurls like a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of its diverse religions and cultures. From the ancient Hindu epics of the Mahabharata and Ramayana to the parables of Christianity that echo through the lives of saints, the impactful narratives found in the Quran, and the rich stories of Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, every tradition contributes to a breathtaking mosaic of narratives.
These stories come alive through colorful kolams, intricate designs painted on floors to welcome prosperity, and expressive dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kathak that narrate divine tales and human emotions. Through the rituals, people, and cultural practices found in every region—from the folk tales of Rajasthan to the spiritual anecdotes of Kerala—each element becomes a narrative thread. Even India’s diverse cuisine tells stories of history and heritage, with dishes like biryani symbolizing the mingling of cultures, while dosas echo traditions of South Indian hospitality.

The National Storytelling Championship NSC - India 2025, organized by ACEnovation is a prestigious event held for the very first time that celebrates the art of storytelling across India. This unique competition invites participants of various ages ( 6 categories - Ages 3+ to 103+)to showcase their storytelling skills, fostering creativity, communication, and connection through narratives. Contestants present original stories or adaptations of 2 minutes duration through a video which is updated on the website. This is judged by a panel of judges from around the world, who evaluate performances based on criteria like choice of story, creativity, voice modulation, gestures, body language, use of props, confidence, engagement, and presentation style. The championship not only highlights the importance of storytelling in culture but also encourages individuals to express themselves and share their diverse experiences through captivating tales.
To participate, individuals must meet the following criteria:
👉 They must be 3+ years of age or older as on 1st January 2026.Participants may be asked to submit proof of age at any point during the competition to verify eligibility.
👉 They must not have any criminal convictions or be under any legal restrictions that prevent their participation.
👉 They must not be bound by any contract or arrangement that prohibits their involvement in the competition.
👉 They must be a citizen of India, a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or hold a valid Indian visa (excluding tourist or diplomatic visas) permitting them to perform and work in India.
👉 Employees, representatives, or immediate family members of the Organiser or any associated agencies are not eligible to participate. For the purpose of this competition, 'immediate family members' include parents, siblings, spouse, and children.

👉Prepare story, Upload video of a 2 minute story in any language in MP4 format in website.

👉Top 10 in each category go to Finals. Online. Live.

Yes, there is a registration fee of INR 400 per entry.
Every participant will fall under their respective age category. ( Proof of Age to be submitted when asked.)
It is an online competition. The prize giving ceremony - the grand finale is offline at VIT, Chennai Campus.
No, participants do not have to be based in India. Individuals of Indian origin residing outside India can participate if they meet the eligibility criteria.

The Total cash prize pool for all winners is upto ₹10 Lakhs, with individual category winners receiving their share of the rewards. Detailed prize information will be announced soon on the official website.
Yes, finalists are expected to attend the grand finale event, where they will receive their awards in person at the prestigious VIT - Chennai Campus. Selected candidates will receive information about the event through email.
